Understand your retention analytics

MsgHealth turns your booking data into clear, actionable metrics. Here's what each number means and how to use it to grow revenue.

Key metrics explained

Average Client Health

The overall pulse of your client base. A healthy business typically sits between 80–100%. If this number drops week over week, you're losing ground with existing clients faster than you're replacing them.

What to do

If below 75%, review which clients are dragging the average down and trigger a retention campaign.

Revenue at Risk

The total estimated monthly revenue from clients who are at risk of churning. This is not a guarantee of loss — it's the maximum revenue you could recover if you re-engage those clients successfully.

What to do

Enable automated SMS for at-risk clients to recover a portion of this revenue. Most businesses recover 30–60% of revenue at risk within 30 days of enabling SMS.

High Priority Clients

These clients haven't visited in significantly longer than their normal cadence and are at serious risk of not returning. They require immediate, personal outreach — not just an automated text.

What to do

Call high-priority clients directly or send a personalized offer (discount, complimentary add-on) to get them back in the door.

Rebooking Rate

Your most important retention metric. It tells you how effective your outreach is. The industry average for manual outreach is around 12%; MsgHealth's automated SMS benchmarks at 47%.

What to do

If your rebooking rate is below 20%, review your message templates and consider testing a discount offer or a more personal AI-written message.

Churn Forecast (30-Day)

A predictive list of clients projected to churn in the next 30 days, ranked by risk score. Available on Pro and Enterprise plans. The model improves in accuracy as you add more client data.

What to do

Run a proactive campaign for clients in the top 25% of the churn forecast list before their score actually drops below the alert threshold.

Exporting your data

Pro and Enterprise plans can export all client data, health histories, SMS logs, and booking records at any time. Exports are available in CSV (for spreadsheets) and PDF (for reports and sharing).

Analytics questions

How do I export my analytics data?

Go to Settings → Data Export. Pro and Enterprise plans can export client lists, health score histories, SMS logs, and booking records as CSV or PDF. Data exports are available at any time.

How often is the data updated?

Health scores update in real time whenever new booking data arrives from your integrations. If you've manually added a booking, the score updates within seconds. Dashboard metrics refresh every 15 minutes.

Can I pin specific analytics to the top of my dashboard?

Yes — on Pro and Enterprise plans you can pin any analytics widget to the top of your overview dashboard. Click the pin icon on any widget to keep it visible at all times.

Can I see analytics per staff member or location?

On Enterprise plans, you can filter all analytics by location or by staff member. Each location gets its own analytics view with separate health scores and revenue metrics.

How accurate is the churn forecast?

In internal benchmarking, the 30-day churn forecast is accurate within 12% for businesses with more than 30 clients. Accuracy improves significantly as more client history is accumulated — typically 3+ months of data.
