How billing works

Monthly billing

All plans are billed monthly on the date you first upgraded. For example, if you upgrade on the 15th, you'll be charged on the 15th of each month. You can cancel before the next renewal date to avoid being charged.

Proration on upgrades

When you upgrade mid-cycle, you're charged only for the remaining days at the new rate. The math is automatic — you'll see the exact prorated amount before confirming any plan change.

Annual billing discount

Pay annually and get 2 months free (20% discount). Annual plans are billed once per year upfront. Contact support@msghealth.net to switch to annual billing.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we'll retry 3 times over 7 days and email you each time. After 7 days without payment, your account loses access to paid features until billing is resolved.

Billing questions

When does my free trial start and end?

Your 14-day trial starts the moment you complete checkout for a plan. A card is required to start the trial, but you won't be charged until it ends — cancel anytime before then at no cost. If you don't cancel, your card is billed automatically at your plan's rate when the trial ends.

Can I upgrade mid-billing cycle?

Yes. When you upgrade, the new plan takes effect immediately and you're charged a prorated amount for the remaining days in your current billing cycle. Your next full charge will be at the new plan rate.

What happens when I downgrade?

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you keep access to your current plan's features. If your client count exceeds the lower plan's limit, you'll be asked to archive clients before the downgrade takes effect.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your paid period. After that, your account loses access to paid features until you resubscribe. Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation so you can export it or reactivate.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You can cancel anytime. Annual billing is available at a 20% discount — contact us at support@msghealth.net for details.

How do I get a receipt or invoice?

Invoices are automatically emailed after each charge. You can also download past invoices at any time from Settings → Billing → Invoice History.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed securely via Stripe. We do not accept PayPal or bank transfers at this time.

How do I export my data before cancelling?

Go to Settings → Data Export. Pro and Enterprise plans can export all client data, health histories, and booking records as CSV or PDF. We recommend exporting before your account downgrades.

What happens if I need more SMS than my plan includes?

You can purchase an SMS add-on block from Settings → Billing at any time, or upgrade to a higher tier for a larger included allowance. Add-on blocks apply immediately and don't require a full plan change.

What is MsgHealth's refund policy?

Subscription charges are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future billing — your access continues through the end of the paid period. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@msghealth.net and we'll review it.

Which plan is right for my business?

Starter suits solo operators just getting started with SMS retention. Pro is the most popular plan — it adds AI churn predictions, custom SMS templates, and up to 3 team seats. Enterprise is built for multi-location businesses or agencies that need unlimited team seats, bulk campaigns, and full data export.
