Our story

What the name means, what we stand for, and how MsgHealth started with one hairdresser who couldn't afford to lose a single client.

What MsgHealth stands for

MsgHealth is short for "Message Health." The name comes from the two ideas the whole product is built on.

The first is that every client relationship has a health. You can feel its pulse in how often someone books, how long it's been since their last visit, and whether they still answer your texts. When that pulse starts to fade, it usually happens quietly.

The second is that the right message at the right time is what keeps that relationship healthy. A simple "we miss you" sent before a client drifts away is worth more than any ad trying to win them back months later.

MsgHealth exists so that no small business owner loses a loyal client without knowing it. It watches the health of every relationship, warns you when one starts to slip, and sends the personal message that brings that client back.

Where it started

MsgHealth started at home, with my mom.

She's a single mother of seven who runs her own business as a hairdresser. In our house there was never room to leave money on the table, and every client mattered. Her chair wasn't just how she paid the bills. It was how she kept seven kids fed, clothed, and cared for.

Over time I noticed some of her regulars slowly disappearing, and she had no way of knowing until they were already gone. Nobody had complained. Life just got busy, people drifted, and no one noticed until the chair had been empty for months. Every one of those clients was money our family was counting on, and she didn't even know she was losing them.

Building it ourselves

I wanted to help her catch those clients before they slipped away and win back the ones she didn't realize she'd lost.

I looked into the tools that already existed, but between all the separate subscriptions, the cost added up to far more than we could afford. Software like that seemed built for businesses with marketing budgets, not for a mom running her own chair.

What I did have was a love of building things, and I got that from my mom. So I set out to build something that could make a real difference for her business without having to sell a kidney to pay for it. I was a sophomore in high school at the time.

Bigger than one salon

As it started working for her, I realized it didn't have to stop with one salon, or with salons at all. Barbers, spas, gyms, cleaners, plumbers: any business built on repeat customers lives with the same quiet problem. Clients don't usually leave with a goodbye. They just stop coming back.

Every one of those owners deserves to know who they're about to lose and to have a simple, affordable way to bring them back. So in 2026 I opened MsgHealth to the public.

Every feature is still built with her in mind: a hardworking owner with no time to spare who can't afford to lose a single client. If that sounds like you, MsgHealth was made for you too.

Built for owners like her

See who you're about to lose, and bring them back before they're gone.
